Our Cascadia blend reflects the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. With spruce tips foraged on the Oregon Coast and juniper berries like those growing prolifically in our own High Desert, Cascadia pulls together some of our favorite flavors of Oregon. Combined with a smooth and floral Nilgiri South Indian black tea and roasted Japanese green tea, this is an earthy cup of tea reminiscent of peaceful explorations of the Old Growth forest floor.

Origin and Farmer

Nilgiri, India. Our Nilgiri black tea is grown on the Glendale Estate in the Tamil Nadu State in southeastern India. Renowned as a model employer, Glendale's workforce is more than 60% women, and the estate houses the families of workers, providing schooling for their children and medical clinics. Shizuoka and Kagoshima, Japan. Our Organic Hojicha comes to us from a family that has been processing tea in Shizuoka for generations. Working directly with local farms dedicated to the practice of Chagusaba farming (the pairing of natural grasslands with tea fields designed to enrich rather than strip the natural environment), they have been able to achieve a high quality of life for farm workers and stability for farmers.
